Released by police, the second video above show the bandit -- his face covered by a mask and a hoodie --going into the Stop & Go Deli & Grocery on Lafayette Place around 8 p.m. Tuesday and pointing a gun at two clerks behind the counter.
The first video shows him diving across the counter, grabbing cash from the register and fending off the courageous clerk.
Police said he then ran west on Rosemont Place and got into a dark-colored vehicle that eventually travelled towards the Teaneck border.
Detectives were trying to find additional video from the area. They asked any merchants or others who may have recordings or seen something of interest to contact CrimeStoppers.
CrimeStoppers offers up to a $ 1,000 cash reward for any information that “significantly assists” police in investigations. Tips can be made anonymously on the group's website at www.bergencrimestoppers.org or by calling (844) 466-6789, also anonymously, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Or call Englewood detectives directly: (201) 568-4875.
Police also urged anyone “anyone who may be put in a similar situation not to fight with an armed” robber.
